Pure Sardinia

Pure Sardinia is an Italian reality dedicated to the production of spirits that aims to condense the aromatic essence of Sardinia through its products, transporting the taster on a journey through the green Mediterranean scrub and the turquoise beaches that dot this beautiful and wild island. The brand was born from the intuition of Flavio Porcu, a former manager convinced that the Sardinian territory, with its fruits, scents, and flavors, was ideal for artisanal production of distillates intimately linked to the territory. Initially involved only in gin production, Pure Sardinia soon embraced other types of beverages, such as a refined vermouth based on Nuragus flavored with various wild herbs from the territory, a classic mirto from Sardinia, and a vodka distilled from wheat grown in the Campidano plain. In addition to the creation of delicious gin, vermouth, vodka, mirto, and bitters, Pure Sardinia is dedicated to the production of EVO oil and wines from the most renowned Sardinian varieties: Cannonau and Vermentino.

The products of Pure Sardinia are made starting from from a careful selection of natural raw materials from Sardinia. For the gins, hand-picked wild juniper berries are used, an essential ingredient for the category, which are infused for 30 days in cereal or molasses alcohol and then slowly distilled in an artisanal manner using a discontinuous method through a steam boiler and copper still. Other ingredients such as desoleana sage, myrtle leaves, lentisk, artemisia, lemon and orange peels, and tomato berries can also be added to the juniper berries. The vermouth, on the other hand, is made from a base of Nuragus wine aged in steel for two years, to which an infusion of typical Mediterranean scrub herbs, alcohol, and sugar is added.

The selection of the Pure Sardinia distillery includes gin, vermouth, mirto, bitters, vodka, and wines, different categories united by the strong connection to the Sardinian territory, of which they are configured as faithful spokespersons. A peculiar expression is the Gin ‘Doro Aged’, produced from 100% Sardinian ingredients and aged for 12 months in old chestnut barrels.
