Quaquarini winery is based in Monteveneroso, a small fraction of Canneto Pavese, located in the small wedge in Lombardy between Emilia, Liguria and Piedmont, which is the Oltrepò Pavese, for centuries the land of wine. The Company was founded in the second half of the last century by Francesco Quaquarini and his wife Liliana; today, they have surrendered the reins to their son Umberto, doctor of oenology, who is in charge of the vineyard and the winery, and to their daughter Maria Teresa , in charge of corporate marketing and sales network.

Francesco and Liliana, however, are always present in the Company, participating in all decisions and the most important choices.

Today the family property extends, in various plots, for about 690 hectares of entirely vineyards, lying on very steep hills, with soils of different nature from each other: from sandy, exposed to the west, to the young red and fragrant, limestone and clay, exposed to the southwest for wines of great character and personality, long aging.

The company, which has been completely converted to organic viticulture, has set itself the objective of maximizing the value for money of their wines. The vines are the classics of the region: Croatina, Barbera and Ughetta Canneto that, wisely mixed give the wide range of wines, among all the interesting "Sangue di Giuda", a sweet red wine, both in the sparkling version and in the still one.
