Regnard

Regnard is one of the oldest and most renowned maisons of Burgundy. It was founded by Zephir Regnard in 1860 and in 1984 passed into the hands of the De Ladoucette family, which has preserved and, at the same time, improved the style and typicity of the wines produced. The property includes several plots in the Maconnais region, the southernmost area of Burgundy, from which the winery produces wines of great complexity, but it is known worldwide especially for the production of great Chablis. The maison also produces wines under the Pouilly Fussé denomination, in whose territory the main operational center of the winery is located, still rooted in the historic Clos du Pavillon, whose premises date back to the 18th century. With the transfer of ownership to Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, the Regnard winery has undergone an important recovery and restructuring process.

The uniqueness of the Chablis territory is given by the presence of limestone marls rich in fossils dating back to the Upper Jurassic period, called Kimmeridgiano. This characteristic gives the wines produced in the region strongly mineral and savory notes. Chablis has always proven to be a territory suited for the cultivation of Chardonnay, so much so that even today it is considered the apotheosis of Chardonnay. Currently, seven of Regnard's various plots are classified as Grand Cru.

For Maison Regnard, every activity in the vineyard is aimed at respecting the surrounding environment and the vines are cultivated with great care, in order to obtain rich and precious grapes. In the winery, modern technologies and innovative processes are used, without ever losing sight of the ancient traditions of the territory and always respecting the now consolidated style of the winery. Regnard's wines are crafted for individual crus, highlighting every subtle organoleptic nuance, and undergo long aging in wood. In this way, the winery obtains wines of great elegance and extraordinary aromatic complexity, wines that know how to make themselves

known worldwide.
