Reichmuth
The Le Roche agricultural company is a productive reality located on the hill of San Luigi overlooking Dogliani in the heart of one of the most fascinating territories in Italy: the Langhe. In 1993, precisely during the spring, Ursula and her husband Marcello Reichmuth were struck by the beauty of the area and decided to "put down roots" by building their home here, but above all, what is now their winery. These two people, besides being bound by a great love, are also united by a passion for viticulture, he is an HTL engineer in oenology and she is a graduated farmer. The types of grape varieties cultivated are countless and extend over 7 hectares of vineyards on silty soils with a fair percentage of clay and sand, decidedly calcareous that enjoy a great exposure and a perfect climate.
The Reichmuth couple in the cellar and in the vineyard try to follow the rhythms and suggestions of nature, their philosophy is indeed based on biological principles and on the integration of traditional and modern methods in order to enhance the best characteristics of each vintage and single bottle. Nature is therefore inspiring and a work companion, the vineyards have been converted to evergreen settings and the estate features a wide variety of plants and fruit trees that provide nourishment to all organisms.
The wines of Reichmuth remind us of those of the past: genuine, sincere, without mincing words. In them, we can savor the love, passion, and hard work of two people who have decided to dedicate their lives to the land. Marcello, as previously emphasized, chooses to respect the rhythms of nature and to market his labels only when they have developed the right character and only when he deems them ready. The names are very characteristic, they are indeed words in the Piedmont dialect, the result of the imagination of two people of Swiss origin who have chosen Piemonte as their nest.
