Reimonenq

The Reimonenq distillery was founded in 1916 on the island of Guadeloupe, in the French Antilles, quickly specializing in the production of only agricultural rum, derived from the distillation of pure sugarcane juice. Today, almost a century after its foundation, the distillery also houses a rum museum, showcasing the history and traditions of the famous Caribbean spirit.

The rum from the Reimonenq distillery is still produced using traditional methods, aided by modern equipment: the sugarcane is harvested, cut, and crushed by electric mills; the juice is left to ferment outdoors for a variable period between 24 and 48 hours and then distilled in stainless steel columns, not heated by direct fire but through an electric heat exchanger, capable of ensuring perfect temperature control during distillation. The distillate exits the columns with an alcohol content that can reach 70%; it is then allowed to rest in steel and wooden tanks and then aged in barrels of various sizes (from a minimum of 200 liters to a maximum of 600). During the long aging processes, the rum decreases in strength and softens, enriching itself with magnificent aromas.

The Reimonenq rum is a great representative of Caribbean agricultural rum, produced from pure sugarcane juice and heir to a great traditional heritage. A precious and highly valued distillate, unmissable for all rum lovers and connoisseurs of fine spirits.
