The Rizzi winery was born in 1974, on the nineteenth century estate of the family, thanks to Ernesto Dellapiana. Growing up with a passion for the land and vineyards, Ernesto decided in 1973 to abandon the city to pursue his greatest passions: wine, vineyard and Langa. Ernesto decides to give to the winery the name Rizzi, such as the farmhouse overlooking the homonymous cru. Over the years, Ernesto has always been engaged in a constant expansion and improvement of the winery, making it, with its 35 acres, one of the most important and fascinating reality in the area of Barbaresco. Since 2004, with the entrance in the basement of Jole and Enrico, Ernesto’s sons, were also improved aspects dedicated to marketing and sales. Today Rizzi is one of the most interesting winery of Piedmont, with its Barbaresco, powerfull, combined with a surprising balance and elegance.
