Roc des Anges
Roc des Anges is the name of a small artisanal winery in Roussillon, founded in 2001 by Majorie Gallette, a young and brilliant winemaker, born in Grenoble but raised in the countryside with her wine-loving parents. During her agronomy studies in Montpellier, she met Stéphane, originally from Normandy, with whom she first shared her studies and now shares the management of the winery, after becoming husband and wife. From an oenological and territorial passion, supported by a sincere and deep love between two winemakers, products of profound taste pleasure and territorial fidelity can only be born.
Domaine Roc des Anges is located in the Eastern Pyrenees, the northernmost extension of Catalonia, and spans 25 hectares of vineyards. Here, typical Mediterranean grape varieties such as Carignan and Grenache are cultivated, which play the leading role, followed by Syrah and Macabeo. The soils are dry and well-draining, composed of fragments of very ancient schist rocks, formed 570 million years ago, which encourage deep root growth.
