Ronco dei Tassi
The Ronco dei Tassi company was founded in 1989, when Fabio Coser and his wife Daniela decided to purchase a farm of about 9 hectares, of which 4 are vineyards, in the heart of the Collio Goriziano, more precisely in the municipality of Cormons. Determination and precision are perhaps the most evident traits of Fabio Coser's complex personality, who, thanks to an immense passion for his work and this territory, has managed to bring this splendid winery to life. A son of art, graduating in Conegliano in 1975, Fabio lent his knowledge to leading Friulian companies for many years, until he decided to go out on his own. Today he can also count on the help of his sons Matteo, for the agronomic part, and Enrico for the commercial part.
The vineyards of Ronco dei Tassi are located in different positions, but they share the advantage of being interspersed with woods at different altitudes, up to 190 meters above sea level. The woods, the true lungs of this territory, are inhabited by some colonies of badgers, which during the period when the grapes are ripe become greedy consumers of the sweetest bunches, and therefore from the presence of badgers and the particular arrangement of the vineyards in well-exposed terraces, called "ronchi", the name of the Ronco dei Tassi winery was born.
The wines of the winery are able to combine great power with remarkable freshness, making them rich in a tense and elegant balance. Every precaution taken in the vineyard and in the winery allows for the preservation of the typical characteristics and qualities of the fruit and the territory from which it originates in the final product. A winery that certainly deserves all the recognition it is receiving.
