Squadron 303
In the world of spirits, there are sometimes brands that transcend their role as mere producers, becoming symbols of higher values, linked to the history of places or of men with exceptional lives. Squadron 303, on the other hand, is a Vodka brand that was born precisely as a celebratory icon of a heroic event, which marked the history of World War II. Its creation is an act of gratitude and remembrance for Squadron 303, made up of Polish aviators, who after the invasion of their homeland by German troops in September 1939, decided to take refuge in England and enlist in the Royal Air Force alongside British pilots to fight against Nazism.
The contribution of Polish pilots was not limited to aerial combat during the Battle of Britain; they also brought with them the tradition of vodka. An ancient artisanal savoir-faire, which they soon put to good use in England as well. In memory of the Polish air heroes, four friends: Franck, Alain, Baptiste, and Hugues, decided to produce a premium vodka of excellent quality, inspired by this glorious episode of war. In 2016, the Squadron 303 distillery was born, with the aim of reproducing a distillate that authentically respects the characteristics of the original, its genuine taste, and indomitable spirit.
At the base of the success of the distillate is the prized King Edward potato variety, particularly rich in starch and a still artisanal processing, which involves a single distillation in small batches in traditional copper stills, as was done in the '40s during the RAF times. The result is an extraordinarily pure vodka, with soft aromas and a pleasant underlying sweetness. Once the distillation phase is complete, it is bottled without any filtration in a container of original design, inspired by the flasks used by Royal Air Force pilots. Today, Squadron 303 is a reference brand for lovers of fine spirits. The vodka is distributed in 10 countries, including, of course, Poland.
