Suavia represents one of the most interesting realities of the Soave area. It produces a range of high quality wines that interpret the characteristics of the terroir in a crystal clear way. The Tessari family has been present in Fittà since 1800 and has always dedicated itself to the cultivation of vines in this small hamlet of the Soave Classico area. The winery was founded in 1982 when Giovanni and Rosetta Tessari decided to start making their own grapes. Today it is their three daughters Meri, Valentina and Alessandra who take care of the management of the winery with passion and expertise, from the vineyard to winemaking to bottling and marketing.

The Soave area is located in the hilly zone east of the city of Verona and can count on pedoclimatic conditions that are particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines. The rolling hills enjoy a mild and breezy climate, perfect for excellent grape ripening. The soils are mainly of very ancient volcanic origin. About 50 million years ago, the entire area was affected by major submarine eruptive activity, which resulted in basaltic, rocky soils rich in mineral elements, particularly iron, manganese and zinc. This particular terroir has historically proven to be very suitable for the native white grape varieties, primarily Garganega and then also Trebbiano di Soave, which still form the basis of the denomination's wines.

The estate covers about 20 hectares in the cru of Fittà and also includes old vineyards of particular value, which are more than 70 years old, a heritage that represents the historical memory of the winery and a precious reserve of ancient Garganega biotypes to be carefully preserved. Vineyard management follows a philosophy of protecting the environment and the landscape as a whole. An approach that is careful to safeguard natural biodiversity and whose ultimate goal is to produce healthy and genuine grapes. In 2019, the estate obtained organic certification, confirming a virtuous path of years. The wines faithfully and authentically reflect the best traditions of Soave and represent some of the best of the appellation.
