Tenuta Anfosso
In the area of Dolceacqua, on the cliffs between the sea and the mountains, Tenuta Anfosso extends over 4 hectares divided between Soldano, in the locality of Poggio Pini, and San Biagio della Cima, in the locality of Luvaira. It is managed by Alessandro Anfosso, an experienced and gentle winemaker, indifferent to trends and focused on enhancing his territories, assisted by his wife Marisa.
Rooted on steep slopes, the vineyards are arranged in bands bordered by dry stone walls (built by Alessandro's great-grandfather) and boast the presence of very old plants, some dating back to 1888, which stand as authentic and beautiful monuments of nature. The two crus of Poggio Pini and Luvaira present themselves as true open-air theaters: a spectacle of rare beauty where nature collaborates with the tireless work of man, intent on maintaining a balance that is both evocative and delicate. The grapes harvested here are taken to the small winery in Soldano, and the winemaking process is carefully supervised by Alessandro and his wife. Passion and craftsmanship characterize every phase, starting from the environment: the steel tanks are located in an old garage converted into a winery, while the aging and bottling room is next to the front door of the house.
The wines of Tenuta Anfosso all originate from Rossese and are distinguished by their strong connection to the territory, their typicity, and a remarkable tasting finesse that determines their high drinkability. The entire production is characterized by excellent qualitative compactness, capable of expressing itself across different registers but always full and spirited.
