Tenuta Ca' Sciampagne

Tenuta Ca’ Sciampagne is located within the pristine territory of the Parco Naturale dei Monti delle Cesane, just a few kilometers from Urbino. The name of the estate comes from the cadastral designation where the vineyards are located. It is a relatively young establishment, founded in 2008 with the recovery of three hectares of old vineyards and the creation of six hectares of new vineyards. Among the rows, there is space especially for the grapes historically present in these lands and some international varieties that have adapted very well to the pedoclimatic conditions of the area: Biancame, Sangiovese Albana, Aleatico, Alicante, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.

The vineyards are cultivated in a splendid hilly area, at an altitude of about 380 meters above sea level, facing south, on the hills opposite the Apennine chain and the peaks of Mount Catria, Nerone, and Pietralata. The proximity of the mountains ensures a cool and always very breezy climate, which helps keep the grapes healthy and provides strong temperature variations, essential for obtaining very intense aromas. The re-fermented in the bottle using the ancestral method and Passiti aged for a long time in wooden barrels of different essences: oak, mulberry, black locust, cherry, and ash.
