Tenute Chiaromonte
Strongly tied to the territory of the inland area of Bari, the Chiaromonte family has been producing wine since 1826 and today represents a beautiful oenological story that continues in respect of traditions with a touch of experimentation and technological innovation. Tenute Chiaromonte has been led since 1998 by Nicola, heir to ancient knowledge passed down to him by his father and grandfather, who promoted the organic conversion of the vineyards and achieved surprising results, establishing himself as one of the greatest talents of the Gioia del Colle denomination.
The vineyards of Tenute Chiaromonte are cultivated according to organic methods and include old vines trained in the Apulian bush style: Primitivo dominates everywhere. The calcareous soils, influenced by karst phenomena, give the grapes unique and unrepeatable characteristics. Nicola is very attached to traditional practices but is also endowed with an innovative flair that leads him to carry out continuous research and experimentation on cultivation types, fermentation methods, and types of wood for the barrels. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, Nicola's philosophy is centered on respect for the environment and the meticulous attention to every detail.
The production of Tenute Chiaromonte is limited, to maintain very high quality levels. These are great expressions of pure Primitivo, capable of combining alcoholic power and precision of traits. From a virtuous approach that seeks a bond with tradition and genuineness, bottles are born that enchant and amaze the senses, elevating the small town of Acquaviva delle Fonti to a prominent place in the production of quality Primitivo.
