Terre di San Venanzio Fortunato
Terre di San Venanzio Fortunato is born in the name of the patron saint of Prosecco from Valdobbiadene, a singer of the joys of the palate and good wine, to praise the territory, its culture, and a noble and ancient craft under his blessing. The winery is located next to the most prestigious cru of the DOCG, the Cartizze, where there was previously a space used for woodworking, now converted. A territory between Venice and the Dolomites, between Asolo and Conegliano dedicated to the small but careful production of Prosecco. Valdobbiadene is that part of the planet where culture, tradition, and landscape intertwine to create masterpieces that engage all the senses within a sparkling glass. Monica Ganz and Gabriele Gregolo, together with the winemaker, Luca Antiga, manage to support and enhance the innovations through which the winery wants to stand out.
The wines of Terre di San Venanzio Fortunato are welcomed by the sinuous hills that precede the Prealps and grow on rocky and sandy soils, rich in iron and clay. The vineyards stretch out on the horizon, without interruption, in a vast panorama that is reflected in the wide choice of labels. These are the most suitable conditions for the cultivation of superb vines, the Glera, which express themselves perfectly in their fruity and floral nuances thanks to the refermentation in autoclave, as required by the Charmat-Martinotti method.
The winery Terre di San Venanzio Fortunato tells its philosophy through its bottles, according to which respect for traditions and cutting-edge techniques are the necessary combination to guarantee the best expression of this territory. Its labels shine also and above all in floral sensations. The Cartizze Brut stands out for its immediate scents of jasmine, accompanied by citrus notes of mandarin and bergamot, white-fleshed fruit, pear, and a hint of exotic fruit, mango, pineapple, and banana. The Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut with its intense straw yellow leans decidedly towards scents of elderflower and hawthorn, accompanied by aromas of kiwi and aromatic herbs including sage and mint, with light mineral traces and a decidedly fresh sip. No less is the Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore Extra Dry, whose soft foam caresses the scents of green apple and mandarin, in an extraordinary balance that gently caresses the palate.
