Terre di Zanzago

Terre di Zanzago was born in the heart of the historic and renowned hilly area of Valdobbiadene-Conegliano. A zone of extraordinary charm, characterized by steep ridges that stretch from the land and are kissed by the sun, ensuring optimal sun exposure for the cultivation of Glera grapes. Nothing new, in fact, this breathtaking landscape has become known to any enthusiast. What sometimes escapes notice, however, is the long and centuries-old tradition that envelops the realm of this wine, elevating it as one of the first Italian cradles for vine cultivation. And so there are those, like the winery Terra di Zanago, who are in love with their land and its deep culture, so much so that they pay homage to it with the production of sparkling wines in respect of history and place. The winery's journey began in 2015 with Giovanni Corrado, who started from his 6 hectares to produce high-quality Prosecco. The keywords were and still are today typicity and tradition, also encapsulated in the profile of that centennial vine that stands out on the logo of the labels. A a vine that has witnessed the passage of time, the sacrifice of producers, and the winemaking passion of generations who have committed to tending the land. Today, this vine is the symbol of that glorious past, but also the image of a rosy present and a prosperous future!

The winery Terre di Zanzago cultivates its vineyards in the locality of San Pietro di Barbozza, an ancient area of Valdobbiadene born from the union of four small villages. The viticulture practiced can be defined as "heroic" as it is carried out entirely by hand on steep terraces. The Glera grapes, used for the production of the infamous Prosecco, enjoy perfect exposure and mature slowly, absorbing aromas and flavors. In the winery, the must, obtained from the gentle pressing of the bunches, is first fermented in steel and then refermented in steel autoclaves, according to the traditional Charmat or Martinotti method.

The Sparkling Wines Terre di Zanzago encapsulate all the freshness of the green hills and gift, with their pleasant bubbles, liveliness, carefreeness and joy. "Not just simple Prosecco," say its producers, but symbols of high quality and a tribute to an ancient and glorious winemaking history!
