Venturini Baldini
The winery Venturini Baldini is located on the green hills of Roncolo in the heart of the lands of Quattro Castella in the province of Reggio Emilia. It is one of the most beautiful and historic estates of Emilia Romagna and one of the main producers of quality Lambrusco. The winery covers just over 135 hectares, of which 26 are planted with vines around a large manor house built in 1670. The remaining land is immersed in woods, meadows, and orchards. The winery was founded in 1976 by Carlo Venturini and Beatrice Baldini and in 2012 it passed into the hands of the company Iverna Holdings, whose goal has been to follow the tradition of the historic founders and maintain the quality of the wines. The change of ownership has also led in recent years to the realization of a project, led by the prestigious oenologist Carlo Ferrini, to combine craftsmanship with environmental sustainability.
The territory is predominantly hilly and hosts regional vineyards such as Lambrusco and Malvasia di Candia that grow on clay and limestone soils at an altitude of 300 to 400 meters. The winery borders the Parco di Roncolo, a protected area that hosts local species such as badgers, weasels, hares, and deer and embraces the unspoiled woods of the municipality of Quattro Castella.
Since 2002, Venturini Baldini has been cultivating grapes following traditional organic practices and has been one of the first wineries in Emilia to adopt this philosophy since 1994. The winery aims to enhance the potential of Lambrusco, preserving nature and the environment. The pursuit of typicity, careful management of the countryside, and modern winemaking methods have launched Venturini Baldini as one of the best names in national Lambrusco. The wines are sincere and of absolute value, and when there is passion and expertise, the result is extraordinary.
