Vigneti Repetto

Vigneti Repetto is a family-run winery located in Sarazzano, in the heart of the Colli Tortonesi area, in the southern part of the province of Alessandria, bordering Lombardia and Liguria. It is a young project, brought to life by the enthusiasm of Gian Paolo Repetto and his wife Marina. Gian Paolo worked for many years in the industrial sector, founding a company that dealt with the transformation of plastics and metals. The charm of his family's peasant roots drew him back to his homeland. Leaving the industrial sector behind, he decided to invest all his energy into viticulture, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to a new project.

The estate of Vigneti Repetto spans a total area of about 15 hectares. The vineyards are cultivated in a hilly area, at an altitude ranging from 240 to 320 meters above sea level. The excellent hilly exposures, the sunny and breezy climate, and the medium-textured soils, predominantly calcareous-clay in nature, are perfect for quality viticulture. The area of the Colli Tortonesi, extends near Monte Giarolo, and is crossed by the Curone, Grue, Ossona, Borbera, and Spinti valleys. Faithful to ancient traditions, Gian Paolo Repetto decided to dedicate himself to the cultivation of typical local grapes, particularly Barbera and Timorasso, a native grape variety that had been forgotten for a long time, which is proving to be one of the most interesting whites in northern Italy.

Vigneti Repetto has preserved Gian Paolo's dual soul: a farmer and nature lover among the rows of his vineyards, the true heart of the company, but also an ingenious industrialist in the winery. His scientific training led to the search for new technological tools to minimize the use of sulfur during the winemaking phase, in order to produce healthier and more genuine wines. The solution came from a small Piedmontese start-up that designed VinoOxygen. It is a device that allows you to vinify without having to perform transfers, minimizing the use of sulfites and also limiting the use of water for washing the tanks after each transfer. Technology and sustainability are on the same path, with the goal of producing quality wines.
