Villa Canestrari
More than a hundred years of history mark this beautiful company, founded in 1888 by Carlo Bonuzzi, one of the first graduates from the enological school of Conegliano, where the company is now based. The heirs of Bonuzzi, in 1992, partnered with Azienda Franchi, owner of Villa Canestrari, giving a significant turn to this Venetian reality.
The vineyards today are divided into four estates: Tenuta Lanoli, Tenuta Casaletti, il Brolo, and the tenuta Sande; all located on the gentle slopes of the Veronese hills, on a heterogeneous terroir of alluvial limestone, gravelly with a volcanic substrate, which determines the typicality of the wines produced by the winery.
In the cellar of Villa Canestrari, the most modern equipment can be found and the most advanced technologies are used, always adapted to the different typicities of the wines. "Wines come out when they ask to come out": these are the words of the winemaker Luigi Andreoli. No trace of forcing, but rather readiness and expressive character for all the wines that Villa Canestrari produces.
