Zuani
Patrizia Felluga, who for many years has managed the family business, has now created this splendid winery in San Floriano del Collio, in one of the most vocated areas that the Doc region can boast. Today, Zuani is a fascinating and ambitious winery, which also involves Patrizia's children, Antonio and Caterina. The exceptional vocation, unique and unrepeatable, of a single vineyard is a fortune that comes to very few winemakers, and the fortune to identify one with such characteristics is a gift belonging to those who have always breathed viticulture. Patrizia Felluga has had the luck and enviable ability to isolate a hill among many and recognize the hidden traits of a cru. This magnificent hill is near the Slovenian border.
The qualitative characteristics of the grapes were and still are excellent, which is why the two labels produced by the winery consistently rank at the highest quality levels of enology in Friuli and Italy. The choice to plant the vineyards with Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, and Friulanois dictated by a careful analysis of the territory, which Patrizia discovered to be ideal for maximizing these grapes.
Given these premises, the choice to produce only two wines, of the same composition but with different vinification, is absolutely justifiable: two blends capable of perfectly expressing the characteristics of their territory and returning its savoriness and depth. Today, the Zuani winery represents the consolidation of a family tradition always dedicated to viticulture, capable of representing a perfect synthesis of traditions and innovations.
