Maison Larnaudie-Hirault's Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs Premier Cru is a pure Pinot Noir, bringing to the glass all the power, richness and freshness of the princely varietal from the Montagne de Reims area. The minimum aging on yeasts of 36 months gives the bouquet a ripe profile, with aromas of yellow fruit, hints of pain grillé and delicate spicy nuances. The sip is intense and deep, characterized by a vibrant freshness.
Brut Blanc de Noirs is a Champagne that expresses the characteristics of its terroir very well. It is produced by a small family-owned Maison, which owns 7 hectares of vineyards near Trois-Puits, a small village in the Montagne de Reims region, famous for the quality of its Pinot Noir. The grapes come only from plots classified as Premier Cru in Trois-Puits, Taissy and Sacy. At the end of the harvest, the grapes from the different vineyards are vinified separately with fermentation partly in steel and partly in oak barrels, with only partial malolactic fermentation taking place. When the cuvée is created, a percentage of about 1/3 of reserve wines is added to the vins clairs of the vintage to make the blend more harmonious and consistent over time. Second fermentation takes place according to the Méthode Champenoise with aging on the lees for at least 36 months before dégorgement.
The Blanc de Noirs Larnaudie-Hirault is a well-structured Champagne, particularly suitable for accompanying fish dinners or white meat main courses throughout a meal. In the goblet, it has an alluring golden yellow robe, traversed by a very fine and persistent perlage. The aromas are reminiscent of ripe yellow fruit aromas, hints of exotic fruit, spicy nuances a delicate toasted undertone of pain grillé and dried fruit. The palate entry is intense, with deep, rich aromas supported by a lively tension that closes on fresh citrus notes.
