CHIARETTO 'ROSAMARA' COSTARIPA 2022 DESCRIPTION

The 'RosaMara' Chiaretto rosé is a Lombardy wine that makes elegance its calling card. Both on the nose and in the mouth, in fact, one is pleasantly enveloped by delicate aromas and flavours that aim to conquer with pleasantness rather than intensity. In spite of this, however, it should not be forgotten that this bottle also has a good structure to the sip, deriving from Costaripa's choice to partially age the wine in wood. A label, therefore, that succeeds in uniting body and class in a single soul, conveying the magic of wines made on the shores of Lake Garda;

This 'RosaMara' is a Lombardy Chiaretto that comes from a skilful blending of red grape varieties. Specifically, we find Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera, varieties that grow on plots of morainic origin, characterised by the presence of gravel and clay. The best exposures are towards Lake Garda. The grapes, once in the Costaripa wine-making facilities, are destemmed and crushed; a very short maceration with static draining is then carried out, and fermentation takes place in steel containers. The final ageing takes place over a period of 6 months, either in steel or in small, old white oak casks with a capacity of 228 litres.

The Chiaretto "RosaMara" Costaripa develops in the glass with a rosy colour reminiscent of pastel shades, endowed with lightness and never loaded. The set of sensations on the nose is subtle, where hints of freshly picked fresh fruit join floral touches. On the palate, it is light-bodied and well-balanced, with a sip endowed with a pleasant envelopment; the taste moves on a purely savoury flavour, endowed with a lovely freshness that finishes on a note of bitter almond. A perfect bottle to bring a little joy to the table at a more than reasonable price.
