The "Vision" is a rosé wine that comes from Aglianico grapes cultivated at 600 mt on the volcanic soils of Irpinia. The ageing of 4 months in steel allows the development of a fragrant and vinous bouquet that gives away hints of wild strawberry, wild flowers, juicy cherries and light nuances of the sea. The taste is lean and juicy, very drinkable, energized by a satisfying freshness and a light sapid trail
Rosato "Visione" from Feudi di San Gregorio winery is a fruity and delicate wine produced in Sorbo Serpico, in the province of Avellino, by one of the wineries that has managed, with great professionalism and skill, to create a wide visibility for itself in the panorama of Campania's wine making, receiving acknowledgements not only in Italy but also abroad. This label is made from pure Aglianico grapes, a late-ripening red grape variety indigenous to this area, Irpinia, from vineyards located at about 600 meters above sea level that benefit from a strong temperature changes capable of increasing the elegance of the primary aromas that will then concentrate in the fruit. This new experiment in pink was born with the aim of trying to shift the attention towards a category of wines that is not so much recognized and appreciated in Italy as it is, for example, acclaimed by our French cousins, and that should certainly be valued more at least for its characteristics of great drinkability and lightness.
"Vision" Rosato is made from carefully selected grapes harvested slightly early, precisely to keep acidity high, generally around the second half of September. The clusters brought to the winery are cold macerated on their skins to extract color, then undergo soft pressing and subsequent alcoholic fermentation, which takes place at low temperatures for several weeks in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. After that, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for at least 4 months before being filtered, bottled and sold.
Feudi di San Gregorio's Rosato "Visione" presents itself to the eye with a soft crystalline pink color. Intense red berry fruit aromas appear on the nose, including raspberry, currant and cherry, hints of pink citrus and floral notes of rose and wildflowers, closing with fresh mineral hints. In the mouth it is lean, juicy and drinkable, characterized by a very fresh and truly satisfying drinkability. This wine from Feudi di San Gregorio is an original rosé capable of expressing the extreme finesse of the Aglianico variety, leaving out its characteristics of impetuosity and power.
