The "Conte della Vipera" by Castello della Sala is part of the Antinori portfolio. When it comes to Italian wine and its excellence, this family is certainly among the most important legacies, which has contributed with its history and passion, handed down through no less than 26 generations, to raising the quality of wines to a higher level. A dynasty that over the decades has become almost an empire, and that has expanded its borders beyond Tuscany to Umbria with the Castello della Sala estate. It stands just a few kilometres from Orvieto and extends over some 500 hectares of land, from which this "Conte della Vipera" Castello della Sala Antinori comes to life, a white with an international scope that is always able to play the leading role.

The Castello della Sala's "Conte della Vipera" is the result of a skilful blend of international vines, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, which are cultivated within the Castello della Sala estate vineyards, situated on fossil-rich soils at an altitude of between 250 and 350 metres above sea level. After the grapes are harvested, they are softly pressed, and the must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, where it remains to age until bottling.

The "Conte della Vipera" Castello della Sala produced by Antinori on the Castello della Sala estate has a pale straw yellow colour, with light, sporadic reflections tending towards green. The bouquet of aromas developing on the nose is centred on fruity notes, ranging from citrus to exotic fruit. On the palate, it has a frank and direct taste, characterised by a good freshness that contributes to its smooth drinkability. A bottle that finds its gastronomic vocation with fish dishes and recipes, and which also makes an excellent gift for all white wine enthusiasts.
