RAMÌ COS 2020 DESCRIPTION

Ramì by Cos is a captivating and expressive white wine crafted from a perfectly balanced blend of Grecanico and Inzolia grapes. It's a wine that requires some time to get to know during tasting. The right aeration ensures its gradual unveiling, allowing you to listen to its stories.

The vines, over 10 years old, grow on soils of red earth, rich in sub-Apennine sands and limestone, at 220-240 meters above sea level. Organic farming methods are followed in the vineyard, adhering to the principles of biodynamic agriculture. This achieves a perfect harmony between the environment and the deep character of the terroir. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation in contact with the skins in concrete tanks. The ageing process involves several months, also in concrete tanks. It's a constant flirtation between matter and fruit. The creativity of the terroir is translated through the grapes, guided towards their fullest expression in containers that are as unintrusive as possible, nurturing the wine's inherent characteristics. Today, the revolution is about subtracting rather than adding, letting things rest rather than hastening them.
R

amì has a golden yellow colour, reflecting the territory with its rich ochre and yellow hues, as well as the prolonged contact with the skin, which forms its most intimate essence. The nose is intense, with mature citrus notes typical of the region, along with hints of orange blossoms and honey. The vinous texture on the palate is enveloping, a result of the maceration process, while the marine salinity and delicate minerality wash over the mouth, giving way to a pleasant freshness and a return reminiscent of wild fennel. The sip is perfectly smooth and balanced, culminating in a gratifying finish. It almost makes you long for Sicily!

When to open
To enjoy an artisanal wine at its best, we recommend you to let it 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied orange wines which require a minimum oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can leave it in your cellar even for 3-4 years
