CHIARETTO 'ROSAMARA' COSTARIPA 2021 DESCRIPTION

Chiaretto "RosaMara" rosé is a wine from Lombardia that makes elegance its selling point. Both in the nose and in the mouth, in fact, one is pleasantly enveloped by delicate aromas and flavors that aim to conquer with pleasantness rather than intensity. Despite this, however, one should not forget how in this bottle one also finds a good structure to the sip, derived from Costaripa's choice to partially age the wine in wood as well. A label, therefore, that manages to combine body and class in a single soul, telling the magic of wines made on the shores of Lake Garda.

This "RosaMara" is a Chiaretto from Lombardia that comes from a skillful blend of red grape varieties together. Specifically we find Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera, varieties that grow in plots of morainic origin, marked by the presence of gravel and clay. The best exposures face Lake Garda. Once the grapes arrive at Costaripa's winemaking facilities, they are destemmed and crushed; a very short maceration with static draining is then carried out, and fermentation takes place in steel containers. Final aging takes place for a period of 6 months, both in steel and in small, old white oak barrels with a capacity of 228 liters.

Chiaretto "RosaMara" Costaripa develops in the glass with a rosé color reminiscent of pastel shades, endowed with lightness. The set of sensations that can be perceived on the nose is subtle, in which floral touches are joined by hints of freshly picked fruit. On the palate it is light-bodied, balanced, with a sip endowed with a pleasant envelopment; the taste moves on a purely savory flavor, endowed with a nice freshness that ends on a note of bitter almond. A perfect bottle to bring a little cheer to the table at a more than reasonable price.
