Chambolle Musigny from the renowned French winery Hudelot Noellat is an authentic Pinot Noir that expresses in every sip the territoriality of the wonderful and prestigious area where it's produced. The grapes are carefully selected by hand from the homonymous Premier Cru while the wine is aged in French oak barrels for at least 16 months. The colour is an intense ruby red with brilliant nuances that accompany notes of berries, spicy hints and woody sensations. The taste is lively, juicy, with an excellent nose-to-mouth correspondence and a harmonious finish
Chambolle-Musigny is a great classic of Domaine Hudelot Noëllat, which has always been keen to give voice to the best Climats of the Côte de Nuits. It is an Appellation of great merit, which in its communal territory includes 24 Climats classified Premier Cru and two Grand Cru: Musigny and Bonnes-Mares. Chambolle-Musigny is located between Morey-Saint-Denis and Vougeot and began as an ancient hamlet dependent on the Abbey of Cîteaux. The vineyards are situated at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters above sea level with an east-facing exposure, on Jurassic soils, characterized by the strong limestone component, ideal for the needs of Pinot Noir, the area's main grape variety.
The Chambolle-Musigny red was born on an estate which well represents the centuries-old tradition of Burgundy. Domaine Hudelot Noëllat covers about ten hectares, spread over the territory of four communes and 15 Appellations. A precious mosaic of fine vineyards, managed with great care and tended in such a way as to enhance the particular characteristics of each terroir. The wine comes from a blend of grapes that come from 11 different plots, with different exposures, cultivated on soils composed of limestone-clay marls. Harvesting is done manually with selection in the vineyard of the ripest and healthiest bunches. Fermentation takes place using only indigenous yeasts, with 20 percent of whole cluster grapes. The wine matures for 16 months in French oak barrels, 20% new, and is bottled without clarification or filtration.
Pinot Noir Chambolle-Musigny, produced by Domaine Hudelot Noëllat, is a wine that perfectly reflects the general characteristics of the communal territory of one of Burgundy's most famous Appellations, interpreted in a style of great purity and finesse. It is ruby red in color, and the olfactory profile is marked by aromas of small berries, currant, raspberry, morello cherry, delicate spicy hints, nuances of medicinal herbs and noble woods.
