Chardonnay 'Altkirch' Colterenzio 2021

Chardonnay "Altkirch" is a white wine that belongs to the most classic line made by Colterenzio, with which the winery aims to present the fundamental traits of each grape variety used. With this Chardonnay the fruity aromas typical of the variety, which run through the palate thanks to a freshness that encourages drinking, are the result of the great temperature variations characteristic of the climate where the grapes are grown. A very interesting white wine, which wins many positive reviews among wine guides and also impresses with its excellent value for money.

This Chardonnay "Altkirch" is produced using the grapes of one of the most cultivated international white grape varieties all over the world, Chardonnay. The vines of this variety, which are grown following organic farming principles, are rooted in soils mainly characterized by sand, with deep gravel deposits. In the vineyard, yields are kept at around 70 quintals per hectare, and the grapes, once harvested and brought to the winemaking rooms of the Colterenzio winery, undergo alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. This is followed by aging, carried out for several months both in steel on the fine lees and in large wooden barrels.

The Chardonnay wine "Altkirch" has a light straw yellow color, crossed by slight hues tending to green. The nose is characterized by fine and subtle aromas, with herbaceous notes, exotic fruit and light mineral sensations. On the palate it is light-bodied, elegant and fascinating thanks to a broad and delicate sip, also featuring a nice fresh vein, which smoothes out the sip.
