The Chardonnay "Fabrizio Bianchi" by Castello di Monsanto borns in the '80s thanks to the tenacity and passion of Fabrizio Bianchi, moved by the idea of creating a white wine of great character, in a territory definitely atypical for this variety.
That of Castello di Monsanto is a fascinating story that began long ago, which has its roots in 1960 thanks to Albo Bianchi that after World War II he returned to the land that had given birth, and falling in love with these wonderful views, he decided it was time to make a change in their lives. And so he did, transmitting this passion to his son Fabrizio, who with his wife Giuliana began the adventure wine. And right in the heart of Chianti, Fabrizio makes his first challenge: planting cuttings of Chardonnay. A challenge won with an absolutely excellent, with the birth of a deep and elegant wine, great freshness and flavor. A wine that can involve the mouth and heart because it tells the passion of a family, the desire for revenge, dedication and work.
The Chardonnay "Fabrizio Bianchi" comes from the vineyard Valdigallo, a vineyard of 3.5 hectares place at an altitude of 260 meters above sea level, with an exposition in the North-East. The refining partly in steel and partly in French barrels makes it elegant, deep and complex and is offered in a bouquet of mimosa and chamomile which alternates beautifully with shades of peach on the finish. A great Chardonnay, with a capacity of aging quite remarkable.
