The "Macerato Rosè" is a semi-sparkling wine that's produced by Cantina Furlani, a small artisan winery near the city of Trento. The work takes place according to the philosophy of minimal intervention, in the vineyard as well as in the cellar, and their land is planted with various local varieties. This bottle has the classic vivacity of a young mountain wine, with a fresh mineral profile, with delicate notes of red fruits and mountain flowers

Frizzante Macerato is an ancestral method produced by Cantina Furlani, a bucolic reality in Trentino. Maintaining soil health and biodiversity to allow nature to take its course: this is the main mission of Matteo Furlani, a true custodian of the land on the Vigolana plateau. Having taken over the family vineyards in the early 2000s, Matteo began following the Steiner philosophy soon after, accompanied in his work by his father and wife. The size of the plateau proved ideal for producing light, slightly sparkling wines, thanks in part to the excellent ventilation that balances the strong exposure to sunlight.
Furlani Macerato Frizzante was born on silty soils about 700 meters above sea level. Matteo is truly a mountain producer who, in preserving Trentino's tradition, has decided to use the Trentino pergola training system, which is ideal for fighting the sultriness of the hottest hours and for better aerating the clusters. Such a location, however, also possesses difficult factors, such as slope and logistical difficulties. Therefore, harvesting must be done by hand, but this allows the best fruit to be carefully selected. Matteo decided to produce unfiltered wines with spontaneous fermentation in cement tanks, without the addition of sulfites.
The Macerato Furlani Frizzante is a rosé wine made with red grapes, disarming in its pleasantness and drinkability. Pale pink in color, it remains slightly cloudy, a sign of the winery's winemaking choices. Citrus notes such as fresh grapefruit and sweet spices such as cloves immediately emerge from the glass. The palate is very fresh, a factor reinforced by the tickle caused by the slight fizz formed by re-fermentation in the bottle. Floral aromas reappear in the mouth, reigned over by a prominent minerality expressing full mountain spirit. A wine to drink when searching some coolness during the summer heatwave, perfect to accompany appetizers, hors d'oeuvres or cured meats. Try it with herbed char crostoni.
Peach blossom with coppery reflections
Slight hints of berries such as cranberries and raspberries and mountain flowers such as elderflower
