CINQUE AUTOCTONI EDIZIONE 20 FARNESE DESCRIPTION

The 'Cinque Autoctoni' Edizione 20 by Farnese is an original and absolutely atypical wine. It is the fruit of a brand that owns many estates in various regions of Italy and has decided to create a great red capable of representing the company as a whole. In fact, the label was created in contrast to the logic of terroir, and is instead a synthesis of native Italian varieties cultivated in different areas of our peninsula. It is intended to be a harmonious blend, relying on the complementary nature of grape varieties capable of merging to create something absolutely unique and inimitable. Excellent to be enjoyed with grilled meat, mixed grills or spit-roasted game.

The 'Cinque Autoctoni' Edizione 20 wine is the fruit of one of the most important realities on the Italian wine scene. Farnese manages numerous estates in Abruzzo, Tuscany, Campania, Basilicata, Apulia and Sicily and produces wines with the aim of offering the best of Italian wine. The 'Cinque Autoctoni' project was born in 1996 to create a great red wine that would best represent the rich, Mediterranean, sun-drenched character of our Centre-South. A long process of experimentation led to the identification of the most suitable estates and grape varieties to become part of the new label. The Montepulciano, Primitivo, Negroamaro, Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera grapes come from various estates, located in the Abruzzi territories of Colonnella and Ortona and the Apulia territories of Sava and Manduria. The grapes are destemmed and then sent to fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a 25-day maceration on the skins. The wine matures for more than a year in barriques and completes its refinement with a few months in bottles before release.

The red wine "Cinque Autoctoni" Edizione 20 by Farnese is characterised by elegance, softness and richness. It is already a pleasant wine to taste young, but one that is not afraid of the challenge of time and ages very well. It presents itself in the glass with a dark, luminous red colour. The nose is intense, with aromas of small dark berries, wild blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, hints of vanilla and sweet spices, soft nuances of berry jam. It has a good structure on the palate, with evolved, velvety tannins, enveloped by ample, rich, dense fruit that stretches harmoniously towards a very persistent finish.
