INSOGLIO DEL CINGHIALE CAMPO DI SASSO - TENUTA DI BISERNO 2021 DESCRIPTION

The Tuscan wine Insoglio del Cinghiale Campo di Sasso is the cornerstone of the entire production made by Tenuta di Biserno, a reality founded in 2001 by Marquis Lodovico Antinori, who was eager to invest in the terroir of the Alta Maremma. A juicy and ripe label, cha originates from a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, skillfully blended to give a balanced and quality sip, particularly fresh on the palate. Also striking is the tannin, finely polished and rounded.

This Insoglio del Cinghiale Campo di Sasso is made from a blend of only international grape varieties, varieties that over the past decades have proven to be perfectly adapted to the terroir of the Tuscan Maremma. Alongside a 30 percent Syrah we also find Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, varieties that are grown by the Biserno Estate using the spurred cordon system. The harvest is encompassed between the first week of September and the second week of October. After soft pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in stainless steel at a controlled temperature for a period of 14 to 21 days. This is followed by aging, carried out for 8 months in both new barriques and steel vats.

The red Insoglio del Cinghiale Campo di Sasso made by Tenuta di Biserno winery announces itself to the eye with an intense hue, reminiscent of ruby. Fleshy the nose, where notes of small red fruit alternate with spicy sensations and touches of aromatic herbs; on the finish there is a delicate aroma that veers towards balsamic. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, balanced, with a sip that impresses with an excellent vein that refreshes the drink. The flagship wine of the entire range made in Bibbona, perfect for pairing with succulent game dishes.

When to open
To enjoy it at its best, we recommend you to let the wine 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can easily cellar it for 4-5 years
