Roma Rosso "Edizione Limitata" from the Poggio Le Volpi winery is a red wine that expresses the highest expression of the denomination from which it comes. It comes from a blend of Montepulciano, Syrah and Cesanese grapes and is aged for a year in wood, filling the glass with a dark but luminous ruby red mantle. The olfactory picture is rich and involving, with aromas of red fruit in alcohol and jam, balsamic notes and spices. Roma Rosso "Limited Edition" is the most important label of the Poggio Le Volpi winery. It is a prestigious blend, created in a few pieces with a careful selection of the best grapes of Montepulciano, Syrah and Cesanese. An original blend, combining two great grapes from our central Italy, with the noble French varietal from the Rhone Valley. It is an intense red, aromatically very rich and complex, with a smooth and harmonious profile. Its particular characteristics, make it perfect to pair with savory meat dishes such as mixed grills, roasted game or typical Roman specialties such as coda alla vaccinara.

"Limited Edition" Roma Rosso was born in the splendid territory of the Monteporzio Catone countryside, on the outskirts of the city of Rome. The area has been devoted to viticulture since ancient times and Poggio Le Volpi has been able to renew customs in the name of quality. Montepulciano, Syrah and Cesanese vineyards are cultivated in the Colli Romani area, on soils of ancient volcanic origin, rich in sand and pozzolan. The climate, warm and sunny, is tempered by breezes from the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea, which ensure good temperature ranges and keep the grapes dry and healthy. Fermentations of the grapes from the various varietals take place separately at controlled temperatures. Before bottling, the wine matures for at least 12 months in wooden barrels of various sizes.

Roma Rosso wine "Limited Edition," from the Lazio winery Poggio Le Volpi, is the ultimate expression of terroir. It is a bottle of remarkable personality, devoted to illustrate the excellence of the work done in the vineyard and in the cellar, with the sole purpose of creating a wine of the highest level. In the glass it is dark ruby red in color, with luminous reflections. On the nose, it offers a complex and rich palette of aromas, with scents of ripe red fruit, nuances of berry jam, cherries under spirits, plums, soft spicy hints and hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean maquis. The palate is enveloping, with elegant tannins and dense, very persistent aromas, leading toward a harmonious finish.
